Mountain Mama is a family-owned and operated natural food store located in Colorado Springs, Colorado. We feature Natural Grocery, Organic Produce, Vitamin/Supplements, Natural Body Care, Perishables, Frozen Foods, Bulk Foods, Bulk Herbs as well as an in-house Bakery and Delicatessen. Mountain Mama is a Westside landmark just minutes away from Colorado College, The Broadmoor and Downtown Colorado Springs.
Mountain Mama opened for business in 1979. From a somewhat humble beginning, Mountain Mama has grown and earned a solid reputation and a very loyal following of Westsiders and the greater Colorado Springs area. For over four decades, Mountain Mama has been an integral part of the Westside and larger community of Colorado Springs and continually supports the healthy and active lifestyles of its residents. Many Mountain Mama employees have been with our company for well over a decade, some over two decades, which speaks well of the sense of community Mountain Mama has created and the experience and knowledge of the staff. COMMUNITY SUPPORT
Mountain Mama supports many local non-profit organizations as well as various athletic events, charity events and fundraisers throughout the year. We enjoy giving back to our community in any way we can. Due to the large number of requests we receive for donations, we ask that you please submit any such requests through e-mail with a detailed description of your organization and the particular event/charity/fundraiser.

“I love independently-owned and operated natural food stores. It takes a lot of skill, patience, sweat, and tears to survive as an independent. Mountain Mama’s is a prime example of what can be accomplished when you want it to be and give it your love and dedication.
It’s simply one of the best natural food stores that I have ever experienced. Mount Hope in Cottonwood, Arizona is another example as is Semilla Natural Foods in Las Vegas, NM, and both of those stores opened in the late 1960’s or early 1970’s and have survived.
Mountain Mama has it all. There fresh food counter and juice bar delicacies make it not only a place to shop but also a nice place to eat. The working folks inside are all friendly and knowledgable so your questions will be answered righteously. It’s my kind of place even though I live 3.5 hours away in Folsom, NM; I’ll be back regardless and thank them for staying strong in these weird times.

“Best Apothecary I’ve ever seen. To top it off they make their food from the local produce and farm products they source! The bread and local butcher meats are incredible quality and they have an area to eat and study. “As a couple of vegans, we were disappointed by Colorado Springs’ selection of vegan goods (or lack there of)... Nevertheless, Mountain Mama breaks the mold as both a natural food store and a deli. We’ve now tried the vegan sandwiches.. and damn those are the best sandwiches I have ever eaten in my life. They always have vegan soups up, vegan potato salad and so many more options. They also have a cute and comfortable seating area. I adore that place.”
